Hello! I’m Kunal Kushwaha, a technical architect based in Tokyo. I’ve spent the last 20 years building system level and cloud native products. My early work was in RAID firmware and Linux drivers, and over time I moved into container platforms, distributed systems, and more recently applied AI.

Today I head AI for Sport & Entertainment at Reazon Holdings, where I’m building an AI native team and products from the ground up. It’s my first time building a company this way, and a lot of what I write here is me thinking out loud about what works, what doesn’t, and what I’m learning as I go.

I’m also the founder of AgenticGoKit, an open source Go framework for building autonomous AI systems where multiple agents work together, with orchestration, tool use, memory, RAG based context, and automated evaluation built in.

What I work on

Applied AI and agentic systems. LLM orchestration, multi agent workflows, RAG and context engineering, and the evaluation pipelines that keep AI products honest in production.

Cloud native platforms. Designing and shipping scalable systems on Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure, with CI/CD, observability, and MLOps to support them.

Open source and community. I’ve contributed to Docker, containerd, Podman, and Kubernetes, founded the Docker Tokyo Meetup, and spent years running workshops and training to help engineers adopt cloud native and AI practices.

A bit of background

Over the years I’ve led global, cross functional engineering teams across multiple time zones, at Microsoft (via the Nuance acquisition), Nuance Communications, NTT Data, and earlier in storage and embedded systems. I’ve architected RAID controllers, designed data pipelines for enterprise analytics, delivered secure voice biometric solutions, and more recently built AI agents for finance and healthcare. I’m currently completing the CTO Program at UC Berkeley.

Outside tech

When I’m not building or experimenting with new AI frameworks, I pursue photography and filmmaking. Capturing stories through my lens keeps my creativity sharp, and you can follow my visual journeys on Instagram.

Feel free to explore my work on GitHub or connect on LinkedIn. I’m always happy to talk about agentic AI, cloud native systems, or creative media collaborations.
